I apologize if this may seem like a noobish or dumb question all-together, but what in the blazes is a "Packager"? I've seen several rank submissions including a "Packager" rank and it usually includes an icon of a box or similar. However, I've never understood what this rank is really used for or what a "packager" does.

Would anyone care to explain?

Stimulate a forum with additional activity, usually in exchange for an artificial currency on the forum you request it on.

If that's the definition, then the rank title should be "Compensated Troll". Very Happy

The promotion forums provide packages to boost activity of our forums for virtual money/points.

This package include member registration, some number of posts and topics etc. When a member ask for a package, a member of 'packager' team will accept it and do the registration, posting on the asker's forum.

I, too was little bit confused why they call those people 'packagers'.. cyclops I don't see it relates to their job which is posting/boosting activity Razz

I find it a little bit "silly" to call packager to boost up your forum.
If you want activity , you'll have to work for it , not asking to boost it up :s

I always assumed it was named that because you are getting a package of posts with it.

Yes, each package contains different number of posts, topics and registered members that the 'packager' is required to make on clients forum.

They are called 'packagers' since they complete 'packages' as requested by members.
